Need a break from the boardroom? Our team of highly knowledgeable facilitators will transport you to the heart of the city with an engaging, hands-on immersion.
First, we’ll dive into Johannesburg’s unique history and heritage – from it’s beginnings as a mining town to the urban decline of the late 80s and 90s, and finally to the reimagined city we see today which has been fuelled by an entrepreneurial spirit.
You and your team will then connect with a group of uniquely successful and dynamic entrepreneurs, operating in a reality that is totally different from that of corporate South Africa. Working together, you will devise innovative solutions for one of these businesses before presenting your ideas to the group and to the entrepreneurs themselves.
Each immersion is individually tailored to suit the needs of your team – you can join us from 2 hours to a whole day.

Embark on a captivating journey through Soweto, where the tapestry of its history is intricately woven into South Africa’s epic struggle for freedom. Join us as we unveil the remarkable chapters of this township.
Our Soweto In-person or Virtual Immersions feature some of the best minds of our time: Sifiso Ntuli (Roving Bantu Kitchen), Lwando Xaso (Including Society), Mama G (Activist), Tshepo Mokone (CURIOCITY) and Bongani (National Tour Guide).

Split into groups and tour through the various suburbs of Johannesburg’s inner city.
Choose from neighbourhoods such as Hillbrow, Brixton, Fordsburg and Maboneng. Experience the culture, food and people in each of these neighbourhoods.
Tour guides are locals from the neighbourhoods and will give the group an honest and unique view of life in the city.
The Amazing Race
Race around the inner city learning about the history, heritage, and art of Maboneng.
In this innovative team building activity, participants are divided into teams and each team is given quests and has to solve clues or complete tasks to move on to their next activity.
Each group is assigned a guide to accompany them on their adventure.
Year-End Events
Most year-end events are run on the same old script, arrive in your formal wear, eat, drink and go home. Looking for something a little different to energise your team and celebrate the year passed?
Then a CURIOCITY year-end event is meant for you.
We’ll work with you to curate an event that energises and inspires your team in an authentic way, including transport, activities, venue, food and drinks.

Connect with various entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, from property developers and lawyers to food operators and institutions working to uplift the youth in the city.
These operators are striving to create an inclusive ecosystem where people from diverse backgrounds and cultures can co-exist in the City of Gold.
